Cat Art and Macro-Noses

Here we are on Cat Art Monday, & today's selection is a kitty planter that sat in my grandmother's kitchen window for many years. It was probably made in the 1930s-40s. It is meant to have a cactus for a tail (& it needs a new one as you can see!)

Saturday was warm and sunny, so I headed out to the backyard for a little yard work. I found that the macro setting works excellently on animal noses; Alice and Gold Kitty are pictured here. Tiger was too cool, so no macro nose of him!

Those macro noses are so cool. Of course Alice's is most impressive! Sigh, your backyard looks like you can have LOADS of fun there. I live in a rented appartement and what I call "the garden" is really a patch of grass wih a reck for everyone to hand the washing, some bicicle stands and the garbage bins. ; ) And, ehem, a zillion of pots with plants. I do have a lilac in a pot though and it's blooming right now! The funny thing is: I bought it blooming in 2004 or '05, not sure, and it has never since bloomed again. So this gardening season starts off with a special treat! I adore the Wisteria but there's absolutely no room here for one. Do post a picture of it's blooms and switch on the sniffometer!
Love, Britta

By the way: There really are no hummingbirds in Europe. Everyone adores them here! I liked reading about your experience with them.

Wonderful noses!

Thanks for asking about Tommy's paw. He slashed his pawpad open on a sharp rock (we have lots of flint here). Since he walks on it, it took absolute ages to heal.

Cute cat planter. It looks like he is thinking "Yikes, what happened to my tail?" Macro noses are cute also. Tiger is just trying to fool everyone into thinking is wants to go for a swim. Or does he?
